O-terphenyl

Details

O-Terphenyl, Chinese name: o-Terophenyl, English name: o-Terophenyl, molecular formula: C18H14, molecular weight: 230.3. CAS number: 84-15-1
production method
In 1987, Schultz, Germany, passed benzene vapor through a hot iron pipe to study the high boiling point products of benzene thermal cracking, and separated biphenyl, meta and para terphenyl. In 1927, Bachmann and Clarke separated three terphenyl isomers from coal tar and biphenyl distillation raffinate: m-terphenyl, p-terphenyl, and o-terphenyl. In 1926, the United States began industrial production of biphenyl, and soon terphenyl was recycled as a by-product.
At present, the production of o-terphenyl is still extracted from the mixed terphenyl by-products of biphenyl, using the characteristics of different boiling points, melting points, and solubility of m-terphenyl, p-terphenyl, o-terphenyl, and separation by distillation, crystallization, sublimation and plasma separation. O-terphenyl.
The production of o-terphenyls in my country started late, and currently the most influential brands include: Hangzhou Hanni Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.
