HHM H28-- Diphenyl ether
HHM H28 (diphenyl ether) is a colorless crystal or liquid. There is a smell of bamboo and sunflower. It is soluble in ethanol, benzene, ether and glacial acetic acid, but insoluble in water. The relative density (d20) is 1.075 . Melting point 28 ℃. Boiling point is 259 ℃. The flash point is 115 ℃. Low toxicity, LD50 (rat, oral) 3370mg/kg . It is irritating. Used for constant temperature heat transfer medium. Gas chromatographic stationary solution (maximum use temperature 100 ℃, solvent is acetone). Soap. Organic Synthesis.

Application of HHM H28 Diphenyl Ether
1. Mainly used as one of the components of organic high temperature heating medium.
The mixture prepared from diphenyl ether and biphenyl in a mass ratio of 73.5 : 26.5 is called Daosheng A , which is also called biphenyl - diphenyl ether thermal oil. Temperature range: Gas 232-399 deg.] C, liquid 21-399 deg.] C, the operating temperature no greater than 400 deg.] C. The mixture composed of diphenyl ether and methyl biphenyl is called LF . It has a low freezing point and can be used at -30 ℃. It is a low-temperature, low-viscosity heating medium.
2. Used in the production of flavors and fragrances.
Diphenyl ether has the scent of bayberry and crabapple, and also has the fragrance of sweet orange and daffodil. It is called crystalline geraniol oil or artificial geraniol oil in the perfume industry. Because diphenyl ether is relatively stable to alkali, it is mostly used in the preparation of soap flavors, and it is also commonly used as a substitute for geraniol oil, which is suitable for preparing floral makeup cosmetics, deodorants, etc. GB 2760-1996 stipulates that it is temporarily allowed to use edible spices. GB 2760-2001 stipulates as citrus preservative. When used with diphenylmethane, the fragrance can be lighter. It can be used in soaps, detergents, rose, bay leaf, hyacinth, fragrant weeds, new mowing, sandalwood and other fragrances used in soaps, detergents, and daily industrial products to give greenness. It can also be used to prepare artificial geraniol oil.
3. Used in the production of flame retardant decabromodiphenyl ether.
4. Used in synthetic resin and other organic synthesis production.
The production method of HHM H28 diphenyl ether
It is obtained by condensation of chlorobenzene and phenol in caustic alkali solution with copper as a catalyst. Potassium hydroxide, phenol, and chlorobenzene are mixed at a molar ratio of 1 : 1.4 : 1.06 , add copper powder, stir and heat for condensation reaction. After the reaction, it is treated with acid to separate the diphenyl ether oil layer, and diphenyl ether finished product is obtained by distillation under reduced pressure. It is also possible to react chlorobenzene and phenol in sodium hydroxide solution. Another industrial source of diphenyl ether is as a by-product of the hydrolysis of chlorobenzene to phenol. In the process of hydrolysis of chlorobenzene with sodium hydroxide, about 10% of the chlorobenzene is converted into diphenyl ether. In some processes, this ratio can reach 20% . Diphenyl ether products can be obtained through extraction and refining.
HHM H28 diphenyl ether storage and transportation method
